1960 Triumph TR 3A - No Sale at $20,000 After 30 years of traveling and about 110,000 miles the vehicle was showing a bit of wear. Thus, during 1995 -1997, I had the vehicle refurbished with a complete frame-off restoration. After having the TR -3A restored (the car is beautiful), I saw the opportunity to return this 1960 TR-3 to its roots in Sacramento, California for the ALL BRITISH MOTOR CAR SHOW in 1997. Guess what? It won First Place. I later entered the car in another car show in San Juan Bautista, California and claimed 2nd Place in that show. Since restoration, the car has never been driven in the rain or bad weather – it has been treated like a baby. So this vehicle has less than 5,000 miles since restoration. Some restoration and other details: New Roadster Factory rebuilt engine (1991-cc four cylinder); four speed synchromesh transmission; completer frame-off tear-down and painting, all new upholstery including dash covering, seats, trunk, floor, etc.;. New Dayton 60-spoke wire wheels / Michelin tires; Extras include Original engine in crate, original Black hardtop with mounting hardware, original wire wheels, Tonneau cover; white side curtains, new convertible top, Operating manual, Restoration guides and other extra components.
