2000 Toyota Champ Car - Sold at $30,000 2000 Reynard Toyota Champ Car Molded carbon fiber/honeycomb monocoque construction, four-wheel independent suspension via rocker arms on inboard coil-over springs and shock absorber units, four-wheel disc brakes. The Ex-Cristiano da Matta, race-winning After its retirement from competition, the Toyota racing engine was removed, and the Reynard was converted into a show car, with a non-functional Toyota Generation 6 engine and transmission. In 2007, former CART driver Jeff MacPherson acquired the chassis, along with many spare parts. Envisioned as a showpiece, the Reynard remains an attractive and complete rolling chassis, and could certainly be returned to operational status with the addition of a working engine, transmission, and associated systems.
