1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Convertible - No Sale at $235,000 1970 Pontiac GTO "The Judge" Convertible Ram Air III 4 Spd.w/Factory Air Conditioning This is a wonderful example of a clean original "survivor" GTO having only it's color from birth, Pepper Green, just redone to concours standards. It retains it's clean original Sandalwood Soft Top & original "Notchback" bench seat optioned interior w/it's center Arm Rest (1 of 12), it's Factory Ram Air III motor, Factory Air Conditioning & all original matching # motor (see photo) & transmission. The 2nd owner said the transmission is original to the car although we can't find the VIN # stamped on the right side, it appears original to the car & there is a code stamped on the tranny pad P8T2 (see photo). This GTO is so original that the original Sandalwood soft top boot cover is still in it's original Sandalwood boot cover storage bag. This GTO was completed on November 28th, 1969 & was delivered to Kemper Pontiac-Cadillac in Somerville, New Jersey. This has the following options from it's original Build Sheet : Firm Ride Group (Y96), Rally Gauge & Clock (W63), The Judge (WT1), Push button Radio (U63), Stereo Tape (U57), Electric clock (U35), Ash Tray,Glove,Trunk Lamps (U26-8), Hood Tach (491) now painted Pepper Green, Hood Ram Air (T42), Rally II Wheels (N98), G70/14 WW Tires (PX8), Power Steering (N41), Deluxe Wheel (N30) changed by dealer to GT Sport 3 spoke wheel, Dual Exhaust (N10), Trans 4 SPD (M20), 400 Ram Engine (L74), Power Brakes (J50), Front Discs (JL2), Positraction Axle (G80), 323 Axle Ratio (GU5), Heavy Duty Frame (F35), Air Foil (D80), Rite Hand Vanity Mirror (D34), Notch Down Seatback (A65), Floor Carpet (B30), Foam Front Cushion (B50), Arm Rest/Ash Tray D10), Air Cond.(C60), Power Top (C06), Wheel Opening moldings (B96) & Tint (A01). The 1st owner bought it for their son. Within 1 month, he blew the heads on this original motor & it was repaired under warranty, hence it has heads dated January 1970 (see photo). The 2nd owner, Donnie & Betty Vanderburg, bought it around 1971 from the 1st owner who moved to Irving Texas. They owned & loved it for a total of 34 years until it's 3rd owner, John Welbourn, from Newport Beach, California, fell across the Judge & proceeded to talk them out of their baby. A total of 3 documented owners from new having a perfect original Build Sheet to prove it's authenticity. It also has the cover sheet from the Pontiac Historical Society to prove it's origins.
