1974 DeTomaso Pantera-L with a GT5 body upgrade, running with the original driveline configuration that made this car so popular, when asked..."What is a Pantera"..."It is an car of Italian design, powered by the famous Ford 351-Cleveland engine found in the Boss351 Mustangs, and power to the road thru the German made ZF2 transaxle used in the GT40". This is THAT car!

There is a list of over 70 items done to this car in almost 5yrs under mine and the previous owners care, that were either necessary upgrades for a Pantera (such as cooling flaws from the 70's), items that are critical to the exterior such as proper wheels and exhaust, or, just natural AND fun restoration items any owner would/should do with a car 30yrs+ in age. (such as replace all rubber bushings that would almost be dust by now). Just a few of the items are listed below, which I have a receipt for almost every item, and a MUCH more detailed list.

Air Conditioning - Installed by the master techs at Lamborghini Boston for almost $4000 and updated to R134 retro fit kit. Kit includes new compressor, condenser, receiver, dryer, high pressure hose & switch and expansion value. Blows ICE cold at 40 degrees! And a few new dash vents, defroster works perfectly.

Working Fog Lights Installed with rubber covers.

New Black ABS Plastic Side view mirrors.

Upgraded Ultra-High-Amp Alternator & racing starter.

Exhaust - New ANSA GTS mufflers (after extensive searching and obtained from ANSA directly) w/custom tig welded stainless mandrel tubing. These are very, very rare.

Cooling - 2 (12") Derale thermostat controlled fans, Fluidyne Pantera-specific radiator, extreme duty hoses, S/S Cooling tubes, Edlebrock HP water pump.

Brakes - Original (spare) GTS vented front rotors, Porterfield R4S pads, and rebuilt/refinished all calipers, S/S lines, new rear brake tubing, ATE SuperBlue brake fluid.

Oiling - Upgraded 10Qt/Baffled Armando oil pan. (In the Pantera community this is the #1 choice)

Fuel - BarryGrant 650cfm w/vac secondaries fed by Holley "red" self-regulated pump. (Keeping with original carburation vs injection...etc)

Suspension - Alden Eagle fully adjustable coilovers, Front/Rear A-Arms glass beaded, refinished, w/new custom bushings. Rear uprights also refinished with new bearings. All items using NEW nuts/washers/bolts in Metric zinc (gold) 10.9 grade (same as U.S G8), w/Stainless nylocs

Interior - GTS Classics Nurburgring Seats, LeCarra SportErgo steering wheel, Custom floor mats, carbon dash inserts, Fire Extinguisher, Racing 4 Point Harnesses, all brand new (and working) Carbon fiber and white faced gauges, most rocker switches are new, heater hoses replaced.

Power windows go up and down, the driver's side is a tad slower that the passenger side. Wiper motors A-ok.

Stereo - 6-disk changer, radio, remote. Working antenna goes up and down as it should!

Exterior Body - Fiberglass front bumper, rear delta-wing and wheel flares. Aluminum black powder coated Front & Rear side-lens bezels.

Front Lights go up and down flawlessly.

Exterior & Other - Boyd Coddington GT5 wheels (f) 17x11 (r) 17x13. These were almost $4K w/o tires and took 7months for the previous owner to get. Tires are Michelin PS2's, front 275/40-17 & MASSIVE 335/35-17 rear rubber.

And yes...This car has the original 4Bolt Main/351 Cleveland engine /ZF2 trans. It runs flawlessly, is 100% stock. This car will start in a split second even after no use for weeks......I can hop in for a 200mile mountain drive with zero concern.......And I can pull into a car show and draw a flock of onlookers.
Noticeable Flaws:

• Drivers side front fender is a stress crack in the paint as well as a few other small cracks.

• Driver door Paint Chips

• Underneath Front spoiler paint dings (the car is THAT low!). Cheap fix but I kept scraping so stopped having it fixed each time.

• One wheel has very, very minor curb rash. It is BARELY noticeable, and is a $100 fix.

• Missing rear passenger-side turn signal lens

• Gas gauge is off and at 1/4 tank, you are out of gas (I learned the hard way!)

• Car has an alarm but is missing the horn.
